Wendy Lienhart

Senior Publicist

It is with heavy hearts that we share that on 12/26/2020 we lost our friend and colleague Wendy Levi Lienhart to cancer. Boom Broadcast was built on love - our love and respect for the people who joined us in this endeavor 17 years ago, our love and excitement for the clients and their work who jumped on board and gave us a chance. Wendy was the embodiment of all that is the best of Boom. Joan and Wendy were colleagues - client and vendor long before we launched Boom. I still remember being 9-months pregnant with my second baby and on a business trip to Chicago - Wendy, already mother of two and soon to be mother to three - gave me a bit of advice I never forgot - slow down. Focus on this most important of jobs. Give yourself time and space to be a mom and it’s okay to set work aside. We reconnected after we launched Boom. Wendy was full of energy to fill in the spaces between her parenting - at that point two at prestigious colleges, soon to be three (all academic and athletic all-stars! No surprise to anyone who knew Wendy’s own competitiveness, fire, fierceness and athleticism on the tennis court specifically.) As a highly skilled communications expert with over 25 years of experience in public relations Wendy wanted to still fire on all cylinders and did she ever.

She was a PR rock star and was pivotal in the success of every story we asked her to pitch, elevating important stories about healthcare solutions, cancer cures, putting an end to domestic violence, and elevating children’s causes. All along, her devotion to her children Banistre, Cooper and Peyton never faltered and always took priority and we would never have it any other way. Not to be overlooked - her storytelling, sense of humor and creativity that extended to the socials she established on behalf of Finley, a super-charged Boston Terrier and Piper an attention grabbing French Bulldog. Both have achieved Instagram fame as Finley_Piper, due to their mother’s shameless promotional skills that served her so well throughout her career. Just two years ago, Barbara and Joan had the unique pleasure of a decadent dinner with Wendy and loving husband Parker to celebrate a milestone victory pushing back on her most insidious opponent. That celebration in particular shined a light on Wendy's appreciation of the small things, the big things, the fine things, and the important things in a life. Her intelligence, strength, love, and fierce devotion defined her and we are all better for having known her. We were privileged and honored to have had her as part of our Boom family. Rest in peace Wendy. With love, your Boom sisters and brothers. (Wendy pictured below with her beautiful family)
