Brigid’s Path PSA

Brigid’s Path was founded in 2014 to care for babies and mothers in crisis with grace, love and hope. Our primary work is to care for infants born exposed to an addictive substance like prescription medication, opioids or other drugs, while also working with community partners to provide free, holistic services to their families. We embrace and empower each baby’s family to help them thrive. We believe in the transformative power of families in the healing process.

Our first Public Service Announcement (PSA) campaign, in partnership with the CDC Foundation, highlights a situation many have found themselves in – an unexpected pregnancy for a woman struggling with addiction, and let’s them know that: Addiction won’t define your baby’s future – there is a path to a healthy start.

Dayton mother and entrepreneur, Jill Kingston, established Brigid’s Path - Ohio’s inaugural newborn recovery center, after fostering infants born to addicted mothers. Since admitting their first baby in 2017, Brigid’s Path has supported more than 300 babies and their families, with a proven track record of keeping more babies out of foster care: more than 70% of babies who graduate from Brigid’s Path go home with mom, dad, or a family member.
