In The Box

The weekly “In The Box” newsletter was created as a service to our clients. We found there were often questions about what sort of content is airing on national news and talk shows. Setting up a campaign for success depends on setting the right expectations for media coverage. Approaching the right show, producer or outlet with the right kind of segment or content for their program is critical. ITB to the rescue! We provide a quick look at stories and segments being covered on national news and talk, along with a head’s up on significant or milestone dates and events that might dovetail with your own news or events, and bonus: we provide a ranking of current sites and blogs you’ll want to have bookmarked.

Stay on top of your game — sign up here to receive occasional emails from Boom. Scroll down to read this week's ITB. Our short updates share insights allowing you to do your job better, or as we like to say: be the hero.

Boom's "In The Box" Update: August 13, 2018

AUGUST 13, 2018

National Relaxation Day – celebrated on August 15th every year – is a holiday for people to take a break from their hectic lives and to smell the proverbial roses. On this holiday, people are encouraged to engage in activities that not only rest their bodies but their minds as well.

This unofficial holiday is celebrated by different people in different ways. Some people spend the day lounging around the house, some may take relaxing morning walks, and some people may sleep in. Over the past few years, it has been suggested that not only should people relax on this day, but that they should also unplug from all of their electronic devices; devices such as tablets, cell phones and computers, as well as the Internet.
